Welcome to Kate Rheeders Newsletter - January 2010

Thank goodness the ‘festive’ season is behind me!! I have found very little to be festive about in the past month. As a matter of fact, I have worked myself to the bone. Everyday I would weigh up my choices - to sit around and relax with friends and family or to get my house in order. Those of you that are familiar with my household probably know that Mary takes over – a little like reversed Madam and Eve – and while she was away, I took full advantage. The poor woman came back to work earlier this week to find the whole place reshuffled, redesigned, rearranged and repainted – she thought she was in the wrong house.

The calendar’s New Year has always been a good time for me to transform my external environment while my personal New Year (birthday) has been the time to do so internally. In my case it happens to be almost 6 months apart, which means that I at least get a break during the months in between.

While observing the world, from the top of my stepladder and covered in paint, I realized a few things. The most important one was that the right time is now!! Perhaps I should first mention that I have never been big on New Years Resolutions – before end January they are already history and definitely not because of a lack of willpower. My strength of will has pulled me through some scary moments and my determination is alive and well when it matters.

Let me get back to my point –or was that my perch? Most of us wait for the right time, the right person and/or the right situation before we risk getting ‘our hands dirty’. Naturally, when we then find ourselves in a situation that feels right, we immediately assume that the time as well as the person is right. Big mistake!!! Time is never right and can therefore never be wrong. Situations have at least 32 different angles and I bet you that 16 of these will feel right while the balance will feel very wrong. People’s rightness cannot be measure by anybody else but themselves. What a dilemma!!!!

My little pearl of wisdom today simply suggests that when you are ready (ready sounds better than right), the opportunity will present itself in the form of a situation and/or a person that will assist you in your process. It is not a cliché by accident (did you know a cliché is a hackneyed phrase?). You probably wonder if I have smoked my socks while on the stepladder – Duh, you think, its sooo obvious. I don’t think it is as apparent. My realization would have felt very different if it was: the time is right now or perhaps: the time is now right. The deduction that I have made is that the moment must be seized, the opportunity created and the action must be taken. Try it for yourself by tackling a task that has been staring you in the eye; an unpleasant task that you have avoided. For me it was painting and it was liberating!

The result of all this is that I am seizing my moment this year by putting myself out there as a Travelling Companion. It so happens that my sister and I have shared this dream to travel while caring for others. The manner in which we demonstrate this caring varies – she is much more hands on and me more mindful – and together we form a strong support system. The idea is to find a group (at least more than one person) that wish to explore and/or expand themselves while being assisted, protected, nurtured and cared for, by the two of us. We have started the process by putting together a blog - http://www.travelcarepair.blogspot.com

I will therefore have to be more organized with my time and far more structured in my approach to my other, ‘real’ work. Exactly how I will manage both is uncertain at this stage. However, I can promise you that the classes will continue, the readings will never stop, the endless cups of coffee and chats will be ongoing until the day I expire.

To start the year off, I am planning a Kabalah for Beginners from Monday 18th January, twice a week (Fridays as well) mornings/afternoons/evenings (depending on your needs), that will take us through to the end of February. I have had many requests for Tarot and Numerology classes and I’ve decided to start with Numerology (it helps with Tarot) on Wednesday the 20th January, once a week for 4 weeks. After this we will tackle Tarot for a further 4 sessions – this can be done to suit the majority.

My classes will remain 3 hours long and the cost will stay at R250 per session. It often happens that a group prefers to do more than 1 session at a time and a twice weekly can then easily become a double daily. All you need to do is to let me know your preference. The benefits of these courses can be summarized as follows:

· Kabalah for Beginners – Each individual is created with a potential minimum and maximum – like the microcosm and the macrocosm. If and when we simply go ‘with the flow’; like a cork floating down a river, we will reach the minimum self, without a doubt. However, should you decide to participate as a partner with the cosmos, you will be making the decisions, rise to your challenges, seize your moments, create your opportunities and take your actions in the safety of the partnership. Instead of being the employee of someone else, you now become the employer of yourself. As a matter of fact, you now turn into the company and soon will be the industry.

· Numerology – With or without any understanding of Kabalah, this system of Numerology gives you insight into who you are. It points out the why, the how and the when of every little detail of your life thus far. And then, the most exciting part, it offers you the ability to spot an opportunity to learn and expand in the future. This should be taught at school!!

· Tarot – The 78 cards of Tarot are the basic and essential tools in the toolbox of the Seeker of Spiritual Enlightenment. It helps you analyze and understand your inner workings as well as offer you a wide variety of possibilities that may not have been evident previously. It is essential to do Numerology first as it covers quite a large portion of the Tarot.

For those that have already done these courses - you know who you are – there will be ongoing classes every Thursday morning at 10am starting on 21st January. Specific topics will be dealt with and I already have a list as long as my right arm. Be sure to bring your own list of esoteric topics that you wish to learn more about. Please let me know if you are joining the group so that I can have enough coffee and cookies ready for us to munch on while we learn. Also, please let others know of the benefits that you have gained through my workshops and readings – word of mouth is always much more effective than a newsletter.

My next two months seem to be cut out for me and I will keep you updated with the monthly newsletter and weekly blog entry (which I must admit I have neglected the past two months) on http://www.katerheeders.blogspot.com . Let’s make sure we stay in touch by following each other on Twitter and Facebook.

I wish you all the very best for 2010. May it be a wonderful year for us all and may we find peace with one another and this wonderful planet that is our home.

With kind regards,

Kate Rheeders

PS Although I have done my very best to remove the requested names from my mailing list, I am sure that there are some that have slipped me by. Please be kind enough to request it again without getting personal. We are all on this journey together and our opinions may differ – mine is not worth more than yours.
